Magento Commerce version 1.3.1 is now available for download and upgrade.

Users who installs Magento using our Installatron Script Installer can also upgrade Magento using Installatron (only if you do not have additional extensions, themes, etc).

This version includes the integration and support for Amazon Flexible Payment and Checkout by Amazon payment options that are available with this latest release. We will provide more information about AFP and CBA integration over the next few days.

Note for people using Flat Product Catalog:
Since this release includes a new performance improvement to the Flat Product Catalog after upgrade the Flat Catalog Product must be rebuilt by going to System-> Cache Management. To enable Flat Catalog Product Module go to System-> Configuration, select Catalog option and Frontend tab and select ‘Yes’ next to Use Flat Catalog Product.

Important note for people using the Magento Connect Manager for upgrade:
This release includes an update to the Magento Connect Manager and as such will overwrite index.php and .htaccess files.
If you are using the Magento Connect Manager to upgrade your installation please back up your index.php and .htaccess files under your Magento root folder before upgrading and restore them after you are done.

Note: We do NOT recommend upgrading a production installation of Magento directly. Please backup database and all files before upgrading. Please make sure to check file permission before trying to upgrade through your Magento Connect Manager.

LimeSurvey version 1.8.1 is released for download and upgrade.

Users who installed LimeSurvey using our Installatron Script Installer can also upgrade LimeSurvey using the Installatron upgrade feature.

LimeSurvey is a powerful open source survey system, with statistical analysis. LimeSurvey was formlerly known as PHPSurveyor.

Installatron 6.0 has been released, featuring a greatly improved user interface and workflow throughout the software. Almost every aspect of the user-level interface has been pulled apart, reappraised, and reassembled with easy of use and web-standards as the guiding aims.

This release also sees significant speed improvements, in the orders of 150% and 200% for key tasks, improved use of language, and many behind-the-scenes improvements, making it the most robust and usable Installatron to date.

Trivia: This release utilizes the jQuery AJAX/Javascript library. Early testing showed it to be a clean and robust alternative to our Installatron 5 code, easily integrated, and we’re very pleased with the streamlining that jQuery has brought to Installatron 6.

Magento Commerce version 1.3.0 is now available for download and upgrade.

Users who installs Magento using our Installatron Script Installer can also upgrade Magento using Installatron (only if you do not have additional extensions, themes, etc).

This version includes numerous issue resolutions for Magento version 1.2.x and new features such as:

• Added support for customer file upload and date/time/datetime custom options
• Described all methods in WSDL for SOAP web-services to improve compatibility with .NET, Java and other languages
• Frontend Flat Catalog and improved performance. From early test and benchmarks we see up to 40% performance improvement when comparing to Magento 1.2.x both in page loads and memory usage. We will publish formal results over the next few days.
